Prison service eligibility recognized
Israel's Prison Service funds will now be eligible for computerized levies under new regulations, impacting prisoner accounts from March 3, 2026.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Attached is a notice from the Enforcement and Collection Authority, pursuant to Regulation 4a of the Enforcement and Collection Regulations (Fees, Salaries, and Expenses), 1968, stating that levies can be served to the Prison Service (prisoners’ funds) in a computerized manner, and therefore it will be entitled to payment under Section 49a of the Enforcement and Collection Law, 1967.
The entitlement to payment will commence 30 days from the date of publication of this notice on the website of the Enforcement and Collection Authority.
To ensure certainty regarding the date of payment, we hereby announce that payment will be charged for levy orders that arrive at the Enforcement and Collection Authority starting from 03/03/26.
Please note that levies generated in law offices through software programs prior to this date, and which arrive at the Enforcement and Collection Authority on 03/03/26, will also be charged for payment.
