Nature and Parks Authority Reopens Israel’s Parks and Nature Reserves
Following the Iran ceasefire, Israel's Nature and Parks Authority is reopening national parks and nature reserves nationwide under new safety guidelines.
Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In accordance with the updated security guidelines for all Israelis after the Iran ceasefire went into effect, Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority is reopening most national parks and nature reserves across the country, under safety guidelines and by prior appointment. The sites are being opened in accordance with the Home Front Command guidelines.
The Nature and Parks Authority is expected to reopen the national parks and nature reserves in the center, south and Judea and Samaria, and some of the sites in the north, to the traveling public starting tomorrow, Friday, April 10, after inspecting and scanning the national parks, nature reserves and overnight parking lots that accept paid visitors.
Additional sites are expected to open during the next week, including the coastal nature reserves. Safety scans and debris removal will be carried out in open areas to check the safety of the hiking trails, in order to allow for a safe opening to the public.
