Jerusalem, 23 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s first state-funded cellular mast in Judea and Samaria was inaugurated Thursday in the Mitzpe Yishai neighborhood of Kedumim. The ceremony, attended by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, marks the launch of a broader infrastructure initiative aimed at expanding coverage in the region.
The project’s initial phase includes 22 masts, with additional sites planned in the coming year. Officials said the rollout is intended to improve connectivity, support development, and address longstanding service gaps, with dozens of further installations expected as part of a multi-phase national plan.
