Penza Shesh Marketing Ltd. recalls 800g frozen corn kernels due to Listeria monocytogenes. Ministry of Health inspection found bacteria; consumers urged not to.
The importer “Penza Shesh Marketing Ltd.” is recalling “Frozen Corn Kernels 800g.” Following an inspection by the Food Service at the ministry of Health, Listeria monocytogenes bacteria were found in the frozen corn kernels produced by .DARTA NV
In light of this finding, and as a precaution, Penza Shesh Marketing Ltd. is initiating a voluntary recall of the product:

Consumers who have this product are asked not to consume it and to contact the company’s customer service.
Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause illness in high-risk populations, such as those with weakened immune systems and the elderly, and can cause miscarriages in pregnant women.
The importer “Penza Shesh Marketing Ltd.” is removing the products from the distribution channels.
The recall is being coordinated with the Food Service at the ministry of Health, Northern District.
