‘Persian Nation Will Soon Be Freed,’ Netanyahu Says as Protests Continue
Netanyahu sends strength to Iran's protestors, hoping for freedom from tyranny and future cooperation once the current regime falls amid ongoing demonstrations.
Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Speaking at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel looks forward to cooperation with Iran once the current regime collapses.
“We are sending strength to the heroic and courageous citizens of Iran — and once the regime falls, we will do good things together for the benefit of both peoples,” he said. “We all hope that the Persian nation will soon be freed from the yoke of tyranny.”
Iranian anti-government protests have entered their third week, while Reuters reports that the Israel Defense Forces remain on high alert amid concerns over potential U.S. military action.
