In the framework of his role, he was responsible for and carried out many terror attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel. Recently, he attempted to prepare and train terrorists from the Gaza City Brigade and advanced the production and distribution of weapons to the brigade’s battalions. This was with the aim of rehabilitating the Hamas terror organization and in violation of the ceasefire agreement. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to neutralize any immediate threat.
