IDF Chief of Staff backs soldiers attacked in Bnei Brak
IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir strongly backs soldiers attacked in Bnei Brak, vowing full prosecution and declaring harm to IDF personnel unacceptable.
Chief of Staff’s remarks, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir: “I asked to speak with you to tell you that the IDF and I stand fully and clearly behind you. No one is allowed to harm your honor or disrupt the important mission you are carrying out. You represent the entire IDF, and you have full backing from me and the entire system. We will investigate the incident to ensure it does not happen again. However, a reality where IDF soldiers cannot move freely in the State of Israel is an unbearable reality that must be addressed. We will not accept harm to our soldiers, and I expect those who harmed you to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
