Israel Sees Slight Decline in Overall Employment in December 2025
Israel's December 2025 employment rate saw a slight decline to 61.0%, with labor force participation at 62.9% as per the latest Central Bureau of Statistics.
Jerusalem, 3 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the “Labor Force Survey for December 2025.”
December 2025 (compared to November 2025, among those aged 15 and over) seasonally adjusted data:
Percentage of the labor force – 62.9% (63.1% in November).
Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 61.0% (61.1% in November).
Percentage of unemployed people in the labor force – 3.1% (unchanged from November).
Percentage of people aged 25-64 in the labor force – 81.1% (81.7% in November).
Employment rate among those aged 25-64 – 78.8% (79.3% in November).
The percentage of unemployed people in the labor force among those aged 25-64 – 2.8% (2.9% in November).
The percentage of employed people who usually work full-time, out of all employed people – 78.4% (unchanged compared to November).
