Israel Launches $42M Grant Program to Boost Northern Economy

Israel's Ministry of Economy and Industry launches a $42.5 million grant program to aid businesses and industry in northern Israel.

Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Economy and Industry and the “Tnufa for the North” directorate have launched new grant programs totaling about NIS 125 million ($42.5 million) to strengthen businesses and industry in northern Israel.

The directorate, which oversees economic recovery and development efforts in the region, is responsible for rebuilding local businesses, industry, and infrastructure.

The new programs are part of broader assistance packages exceeding NIS 450 million ($153 million). An additional NIS 160 million ($54.4 million) plan has been approved and is expected to be implemented in the near future.

The grant tracks include support for business recovery, high-tech employment absorption, industrial expansion, and incentives to attract manufacturing and high-tech facilities to the region.
