Israel Transfers 3,000 Tons of Medical Supplies to Gaza in April

In April, Israel facilitated the transfer of 3,000 tons of vital medical supplies to Gaza, working with the WHO and other partners to bolster healthcare access.

Jerusalem, 6 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli agency COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories: Judea and Samaria and towards the Gaza Strip) reported that it continues to work with international partners to facilitate the Transfer of aid into Gaza and provided a breakdown of its efforts regarding medical aid that was transferred there in April.

COGAT said it facilitated the delivery of 3,000 tons of medical supplies in that month.

“This scale-up is a direct result of our ongoing coordination with the World Health Organization,” it said, “to ensure essential resources reach the healthcare system.”

“Consistency for medical teams is key,” added COGAT.

In April, it coordinated four rotations of personnel from registered and approved humanitarian organizations active in Gaza, maintaining a steady pace of one rotation every week.

COGAT said it also focused on access to specialized care. Approximately 200 ill Gazans and their escorts were evacuated through the Kerem Shalom crossing into Israel and on to Jordan, while roughly 2,000 people moved in and out of Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt.

“The work doesn’t stop here,” said COGAT. “We will continue facilitating medical humanitarian aid into Gaza together with our international partners.”
