Israel Police to Launch Nationwide Crackdown on Juvenile Crime

Israel Police Commissioner Danny Levi has ordered a nationwide crackdown on juvenile crime, deploying hundreds of fighters to combat youth violence.

Jerusalem, 28 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Police Commissioner Danny Levi has ordered the launch of a nationwide operation against Juvenile crime. The order came at the conclusion of a situational assessment held Tuesday morning, and in response to a series of youth crime incidents over the past week.

The Israel Police said that the Commissioner instructed a shift to a “coordinated, focused, and intensified nationwide operational effort against instigators of crime and violence among youth.”

As part of the operation, police districts will be reinforced with both visible and covert forces, alongside the allocation of hundreds of fighters from the National Guard of the Border Police, with an emphasis on the Tel Aviv District sector. The fighters will be deployed at friction hotspots, entertainment areas, public spaces, and points where there is concern for escalation and violent incidents.

the police Commissioner has instructed the activation of all operational, intelligence, and investigative tools, the rapid exhaustion of investigation files, the execution of targeted arrests, and proactive activity against instigators of crime, agitators, and those involved in violent incidents. The operation will be coordinated by the Investigations and Intelligence Division, in collaboration with the districts and operational units.
