Shortly ago, approximately 40 Israeli civilians gathered near the border fence with Syria.
Israeli civilians crossed into Syria, were returned by IDF, and detained for a serious criminal offense endangering all.
After a few minutes, they crossed the fence and moved hundreds of meters inside Syrian territory. An IDF force operating at the location returned all civilians to Israeli territory and detained them at the site. The detained civilians were transferred for further processing by the Israel Police. The IDF strongly condemns the incident and emphasizes that this is a serious incident constituting a criminal offense that endangers civilians and IDF forces.
