Shin Bet District police officers who noticed the dangerous driving stopped the suspect and upon inspection, it turned out he was a draft dodger (deserter), who was subsequently handed over to IDF forces, concurrently with the opening of an investigation against him for his dangerous driving. A short while later, dozens of rioters arrived at the Binyamin station and began a violent riot, which included overturning a police trailer, setting fire to cardboard boxes, bending fences, and causing damage to the police station’s emergency exit door. The station’s officers, along with Yasam fighters and Border Police fighters, acted immediately to repel and disperse the rioters, using force and riot dispersal measures. Meanwhile, another deserter was detained, who also disturbed the peace and was handed over to the Military Police. The investigation into disturbing the peace and causing damage to the station is ongoing.
