A car theft ring heading to Judea and Samaria was thwarted. Over the past weekend, an investigative and operational activity was conducted by the Lahish District Police against a car theft ring that operated in the Ashkelon area.

Lahish District Police thwarted a car theft ring targeting Judea and Samaria, arresting two East Jerusalem residents with stolen vehicles.

During this operation, suspicious movement was identified towards the south of the country, and subsequently, two vehicles were stolen in the Ashkelon area. Later that night, the suspects were apprehended while driving the stolen vehicles on their way to the Judea and Samaria areas. The two suspects, residents of East Jerusalem, were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Ashkelon station.
