Israeli Tax Authority seizes 12 vehicles from tax debtors in Rahat. Enforcement action targets VAT & income tax evaders, boosting deterrence.

Israel Tax Authority Breaking News

Last night, employees of the Tax Authority‘s Southern Collection Enforcement Unit (SCDU) operated against tax evaders in the city of Rahat. As part of the activity, 12 vehicles belonging to tax debtors who had accumulated VAT and income tax debts were seized and confiscated.

The activity was preceded by field intelligence work to locate the vehicles and deliver alerts to the debtors’ homes. Along with the unit’s employees and police officers, 5 police officers and 2 tow trucks participated.

These operations are being conducted as part of the Tax Authority‘s extensive activity against tax evaders. This is within the framework of the policy of increasing enforcement activity to improve and maintain deterrence, inter alia, by conducting field operations, aimed at bringing about truthful reporting and tax collection.
