The Compensation Fund has opened the possibility of submitting grant applications for self-employed individuals who served in under Order 8 for indirect damage in May and June 2025
Starting today, business owners serving in the reserves can apply for a grant due to indirect damage caused to them due to service in Order 8, for the months of May-June 2025. Applications can be submitted online on the Tax Authority website or via a link that appears on the IDF website. The application will be possible until 31.12.2025 and payment will be made as soon as possible and no later than 14 days from the date of determination of eligibility.
National Insurance benefits provided for the eligibility period will not be deducted from the amount of the grants. In applications for which an in-depth examination by the Tax Authority and the Assistance Fund will be required, the amount of the grant will be determined within 3 months from the date of submission of the application.
Self-employed individuals who served more than 21 consecutive days in Order 8 for the period from the beginning of reserve service or from 1.6.2024 (whichever is later) and for the entire period of eligibility are eligible for the grant. Period Eligibility consists of days of active reserve service, plus a compensation period calculated in proportion to the number of days of active reserve service. A serviceman who does not belong to the combat formation will be entitled to an additional period in proportion to one and a half days for each day of active reserve service up to a maximum of 30 days from the date of completion of active reserve service. A serviceman who belongs to the combat formation will be entitled to an additional period in proportion to one and a half days for each day of active reserve service up to a maximum of 90 days from the date of completion of active reserve service.
A serviceman who has completed several active reserve service periods of 21 days or more with breaks (and was not eligible according to the first outline) will receive a grant for each active reserve period separately.
