Jerusalem, 23 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that, since the start of Operation Rising Lion on June 13, it has intercepted dozens of Iranian aircraft using what it called “electronic warfare” and “advanced spectrum technologies.”
Since the beginning of the war to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities, the members of the IDF’s 5114th Spectrum Warfare Battalion have taken a significant part in the mission of defending against unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran towards the State of Israel.
In recent days, the forces have thwarted dozens of infiltration attempts by such hostile aircraft.
“Their activities constitute an additional layer of defense, based on the use of advanced technological means to identify and neutralize aerial threats in real time,” said the IDF.
