Skateboarding Stunt on Yom Kippur Leads to Arrest
Arrest made after skateboard stunt on Yom Kippur in Haifa. Driver faces charges for endangering human life. Vehicle impounded.
Jerusalem, 5 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A 22-year-old man was arrested after a video circulated online showing him towing several teenagers on skateboards with his car as they held onto ropes in Haifa during Yom Kippur, the Israeli Police said. When a video of the incident went viral on TikTok, officers located and detained the suspect.
On Yom Kippur, Israel’s roads are virtually empty, as traffic comes to a complete standstill while most of the country observes the solemn day.
The driver, a resident of Kfar Saba, was placed under five days of house arrest and faces charges including endangering human life and reckless driving. The vehicle was found to have severe safety defects and impounded.
