Jerusalem, 10 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The “2025 Protestant Movement Leaders Seminar” was held in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday at the initiative of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism. The seminar was held for opening new markets for inbound tourism, with an emphasis on Asian markets.
The seminar, organized by the Israel Tourism Bureau in Seoul, took place today at the Lotte Hotel in central Seoul, and attracted approximately 200 prominent leaders from Protestant churches across Korea, including heads of major churches, along with key partners in the local tourism industry.
The Korean tourism market is seen as a potential growth engine, after about 60,000 tourists from South Korea arrived in Israel in 2019, a figure that the Tourism Ministry is working to restore and even increase in the coming years.
During the seminar, there was an exhibition of 8 Korean travel agencies specializing in pilgrimage trips to Israel, which offered community leaders a variety of packages and tailored advice for booking groups.
