Schneider Children’s Hospital Launches Israel’s First AI Decision-Support System
Jerusalem, 26 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — For the first time in Israel, an AI decision-support system is being integrated into a hospital, The Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tikva announced.
The pilot system, called “PANDA” –- the Pediatric AI Navigation and Decision Assistant –- allows doctors to ask clinical questions in natural language and instantly receive answers drawn from Schneider’s internal medical protocols. It was developed in collaboration with Clalit Innovation and Digital Divisions.
Dr. Shai Itzhaki, who initiated the project, said PANDA was “born from the daily reality of pediatricians” and ensures “responsible, informed use of artificial intelligence that clinicians can trust.” An official launch is planned in the coming months.
