Jerusalem, 3 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In a sign of tourism from Russia being on the rise, Brig. Gen. (res.) Danny Shahar, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism visited Moscow to promote Israel and meet with airlines and tour operators. In the first quarter of 2025, Russian tourism to Israel rose by 7.4%, the ministry said, adding that more joint efforts are planned to boost visits.
The first Red Wings flight to Eilat since 2022 will land on June 12. Starting mid-June, weekly flights from Russia to Israel will grow from 18 to 30, with new routes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, and Mineralnye Vody to both Tel Aviv and Eilat.
