October Sees Drop in Road Accident Casualties

Jerusalem, 24 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — In the months of January-October 2025, 395 people were killed in Israel in road accidents – 22 more deaths than the corresponding period in 2024. In October 2025, the number of road accidents and the number of casualties were lower compared to October 2024 and compared to the average for October months in 2021-2023, but the number of fatalities was higher, reported Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.

In October 2025, 41 people were killed, one more than October 2024 (40), and 10 more deaths compared to the monthly average for October in 2021-2023 (31) – an increase of 32.3%.

The number of accidents was 520, a decrease of 13.9% compared to October 2024 (604) and a decrease of 30.2% compared to the monthly average for October in 2021-2023 (745).

The number of seriously injured was 153, a 23.5% decrease compared to October 2024 (200), and a decrease of 26.1% compared to the October average in 2021-2023 (207).

The number of casualties was 885, a decrease of 14.9% compared to October 2024 (1,040), and a decrease of 31.1% compared to the monthly average for October in 2021-2023 (1,284).
