Non-Binding Resolution to Annex Judea and Samaria Passes Knesset with Overwhelming Majority

Jerusalem, 23 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A non-binding resolution to apply Israeli sovereignty to Israeli communities located throughout the areas of Judea and Samaria that are not currently officially part of the State of Israel (i.e. de facto annexation of these places) passed in a vote of 71 in favor and 13 against in the Knesset Wednesday afternoon.

The resolution was proposed by MKs Limor Son Har-Melech (Jewish Strength), Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism), Oded Forer (Yisrael Beiteinu) and Dan Illouz (Likud) to apply Israeli in Judea and Samaria has now passed the Knesset plenum.

As a non-binding resolution, the move will not change current Israeli Law.
