Jerusalem, 9 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — israeli president Isaac Herzog will depart Monday for state visits to Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, marking the first time an israeli president has visited Zambia, Herzog’s office announced on Sunday.

During the 24-hour trip, Herzog will meet with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema in Lusaka, following up on the recent reopening of Israel’s embassy there. Herzog will also hold talks in Kinshasa with Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi and other senior officials.

Discussions will center on strengthening bilateral relations, and advancing regional and global cooperation.
