Jerusalem, 31 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) part of SK Group, announced that its Indian subsidiary, PLR, has been selected by the Indian Ministry of Defence to supply 170,000 GALIL ACE CQB-based carbines. The firearms are, already in service with military and security forces in over 40 countries.
Under the program, IWI has transferred advanced technology and manufacturing expertise to PLR, enabling domestic production and aligning with New Delhi’s “Make in India” initiative. The move is expected to bolster India’s defense manufacturing capabilities and strategic self-reliance.
