Jerusalem, 8 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) released the identity of the fifth soldier killed in an attack in Gaza overnight. First Sergeant Moshe Shmuel Noll, aged 21, was from Beit Shemesh and served in the Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Kfir Infantry Brigade.
Five Israeli soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in a deadly roadside bombing in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoun on Monday night, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Tuesday morning.
The troops were on foot patrol shortly after 10 p.m. when they were struck by an explosive device planted along a central route in the area. The unit then came under gunfire during efforts to evacuate the casualties.
The other fallen soldiers were identified as Staff Sgt. Meir Shimon Amar, 20, Sgt. Moshe Nissim Frech, 20, and Staff Sgt. Noam Aharon Musgadian, 20, all members of the Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Kfir Brigade. Also killed was Sgt. First Class (res.) Benyamin Asulin, 28, of the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade and a fifth soldier whose name was not immediately released.
