Jerusalem, 20 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Cassidy Bio, an AI-first biotech company co-founded by Israeli CRISPR scientist Ayal Hendel, launched on Thursday with an $8 million seed round led by Ahren Innovation Capital, with participation from Israel’s Lool Ventures and 10D VC.

The company says its AI-driven genomic foundation model integrates wet-lab data and machine learning to predict optimal combinations of guides, enzymes, and delivery systems, aiming to streamline the design of gene-editing therapies. CEO Rom Kshuk said the platform is meant to replace “trial-and-error” development with scalable, predictive tools that boost clinical confidence at early stages.

The funding will support expansion of the platform and further validation.
