Jerusalem, 20 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The fourth meeting of the Joint Economic Committee between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Israel was held today, November 20, 2025, in Jerusalem, chaired MK Ze’ev Elkin and Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikhail Jabarov.
Both sides emphasized the “deep strategic partnership between the countries and the expansion of cooperation since the opening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel in 2023.”
The Azerbaijani delegation, which consisted of about 30 senior officials, held professional discussions with their Israeli counterparts in a variety of fields.
The discussion reviewed progress in bilateral relations and reinforced the commitment to expanding cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, cyber, technology, agriculture, water, health, transportation, innovation, space, education, science and tourism. The parties noted the significant growth in bilateral trade.
At the end, the delegations expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Committee and emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue between governments. It was agreed that the fifth meeting of the Committee will be held in Baku in 2027.
