Jerusalem, 28 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) and The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research have awarded a $180,000 grant to Prof. Yosef Yarden of the Weizmann Institute of Science to advance antibody-based therapies for EGFR-positive lung cancer, one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant forms of the disease. The three-year project will explore bispecific antibodies designed to overcome drug resistance and improve responsiveness to kinase inhibitors, a key challenge in lung cancer treatment.

Lung cancer remains the world’s leading cause of cancer deaths, with nearly 1.8 million fatalities annually.
