Route 90 closed near Dead Sea due to flood risk

Route 90 near Dead Sea closed from 7 AM due to flash flood risk from incoming rain system.

Israel Police Crime

Due to the expected weather and fear of flash floods in the streams, starting at 07:00, Route 90 will be closed to traffic between Ein Gedi/Nahal David junction and the Dead Sea hotels in both directions. Tomorrow (Wednesday), starting from the late morning hours, a rain system is expected to enter, affecting weather conditions in the southern region and the Dead Sea area in particular, with a real concern for the development of flash floods and significant flows in the streams. In accordance with developments on the ground, traffic disruptions and closures may occur on additional routes throughout the South. We call on the public to plan their journeys accordingly, to avoid reaching areas of flash floods, streams, flooded roads, and risk areas, and to obey the instructions of police officers and official announcements.
