Ministry of Education updates: Remote learning plan for the coming days
The Ministry of Education is launching a remote learning plan starting March 2nd, prioritizing emotional well-being and adapting to the Purim holiday.
The framework is designed to ensure educational and pedagogical continuity, focusing in the initial days on strengthening personal and national resilience and laying an emotional foundation that will enable continued orderly learning according to developments.
Starting tomorrow, Monday, March 2, remote learning will take place in the following framework:
In the Jewish community:
- On Monday, a remote learning day will be held with an emphasis on creating personal connection, educational dialogue, and emotional processing. The meetings will address aspects related to the Purim holiday and the Fast of Esther, with the structure of the day and the nature of the activities adapted to the age groups.
- Regarding Tuesday-Wednesday, the Purim holiday, action should be taken according to the situation assessment and security instructions.
In the Arab, Bedouin, Druze, and Circassian communities:
- Remote learning sessions will be held according to pedagogical recommendations, with an emphasis on maintaining continuous contact with students and conducting educational dialogue and emotional processing.
Instructions for parents and students regarding meeting times and learning links will be conveyed directly by the educational teams. Parents are requested to stay updated through the school’s communication channels.
The Ministry will continue to provide ongoing updates and precise instructions regarding the continuation of learning, digital platforms, and pedagogical content, in accordance with developments and the directives of security officials.
Minister of Education Yoav Kisch: “The State of Israel is dealing with a complex security reality. The education system is prepared and operating in an orderly, responsible, and professional process in accordance with the Home Front Command’s instructions. The coming days will be dedicated first and foremost to strengthening the resilience of our students and establishing a stable foundation that will enable every educational framework to continue operating in a tailored and precise manner. I wish to commend the teaching staff and professionals who are facing a dual challenge these days – personal and national – and continue to lead Israel’s students with dedication and leadership. To the students, the staff, and the parents, I wish a Purim holiday of resilience and unity, and safe days for all of us.”
