Latvian Agriculture Minister Leads Delegation to Israel
Latvian Agriculture Minister Armandas Kraus visited Israel to discuss agricultural innovation, water management, and farm strategies with Minister Avi Dichter.
Jerusalem, 25 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Avi Dichter met with the visiting Latvian Minister of Agriculture Armandas Kraus. The two discussed agricultural entrepreneurship and innovation, water management, academic collaborations, and emergency farm management.
Minister Kraus arrived at the head of a professional delegation including senior representatives from the agriculture and food sectors.
In addition, during the visit, the Latvian delegation will be exposed to Israeli agricultural innovation and advanced research and development activity in Israel. The delegation will tour the Agricultural Research Directorate – Volcanic Institute, where it will be presented with current developments in the fields of scientific apiary, plant diseases, and weed research.
