In order to remove a threat to our forces: The IDF eliminated armed terrorists from the PIJ terrorist organization who were operating in the southern Gaza Strip. During the night (Tuesday), the IDF identified several armed terrorists from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization while they were operating in the southern Gaza Strip, in a manner that posed a threat to the forces deployed in the area. Immediately after the identification, the terrorists were attacked and eliminated from the air in order to remove the threat to our forces. Prior to the attack, measures were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial observations. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
