Rafah Crossing Sees Steady Movement of Patients and Residents Between Gaza and Egypt
Rafah crossing sees steady movement of 100 Palestinian patients and residents weekly between Gaza and Egypt, with passage contingent on Egyptian and WHO.
Jerusalem, 9 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Over the past week, around 100 Palestinian patients and their escorts traveled from Gaza to Egypt through the Rafah crossing, Israeli authorities said.
According to Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the same number of Gazans returned to the Strip as well.
Passage through Rafah depends on approved passenger lists from Egyptian authorities and the World Health Organization, as well as crossing capacity.
