Israel Railways to Operate at 80% Normal Volume as of Sunday
Israel Railways will operate at 80% capacity on Sunday, running approximately 450 trains daily nationwide.
Jerusalem, 7 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Railways is operating continuously despite the emergency situation, with hundreds of trains running day and night throughout the country.
Starting Sunday, Israel Railways will operate approximately 450 trains per day, carrying approximately 100,000 passengers daily.
This volume of activity will reach approximately 80% of the volume of routine service; even though, demand is only about 30%.
Israel Railways has returned 56 stations across the country to full operation, which is approximately 84% of all stations, and is working towards a gradual return of all stations and lines, nationwide.
