Jerusalem, 7 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Detectives from the Tayibe station located and arrested an additional suspect in this morning’s attack the attack in Kokhav Ya’ir, in which a civilian was murdered and five others were wounded. during the arrest, the suspect attempted to stab the detectives, who were able to subdue and arrest him without harm to themselves.
The arrest came after police received information that a person involved in the attack had requested assistance in hiding.
A 35-year-old man was killed and five other civilians were wounded Sunday morning in a terrorist shooting attack spanning several communities in Israel’s central region, prompting a major security operation and lockdown orders for residents.
Police and other security forces are continuing searches and investigative operations.
