Phishing Alert: Fake SMS Targets Israelis Claiming to Be Home Front Command

Jerusalem, 19 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Cyber Directorate warned that some residents received SMS messages on Thursdaya morning pretending to be from the Home Front Command. The messages are a phishing attempt, directing recipients to download an app that could steal personal data.
Phishing uses fake texts, emails, or ads to trick people into visiting fraudulent websites or sharing sensitive information. Authorities urge Israelis to ignore such messages.
