Israel Confirms Elimination of Hezbollah Chief’s Top Advisor in Beirut Strike
Israel confirmed the elimination of Ali Yusuf Harshi, advisor to Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, in a Beirut airstrike.
Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel confirmed on Thursday the elimination of Ali Yusuf Harshi, a close advisor and personal secretary to Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, in a Beirut airstrike on Wednesday.
The Israel Defense Forces said overnight operations also targeted Hezbollah infrastructure, including two key crossings over the Litani River. The military added that around 10 weapons storage sites, launchers, and command centers in Southern Lebanon were struck.
