Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s fire and rescue system is preparing for stormy weather that includes strong winds, rain, heavy precipitation and the risk of flooding and inundation

According to the weather forecast for Tuesday, January 13, which predicts strong winds of up to 100 km/h mainly in the coastal plain and mountains, there is a risk of damage including falling trees.

Heavy rains and flooding are also expected, mainly in the south and east of the country. In light of this, all districts will be strengthened under the direction of the Fire and Rescue Commissioner for Israel, Eyal Caspi, while deploying teams at risk points throughout the country.

The preparation includes reinforcement of teams and stations, preparation of special rescue units – including a flame unit, running water rescue units and firefighters trained in specialized equipment for dealing with flood events, rescue and rescue.

Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, tweeted a map and urged civilians to maintain a distance of at least 300 meters from the target.

The compound was used by the organization’s terrorists to store weapons and advance terror plots against IDF forces and the State of Israel throughout the war. The terrorists who were attacked in the compound were planning to carry out a terror plot against IDF forces operating in the northern Gaza Strip in the immediate timeframe. The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act against any attempt by terror organizations in the Gaza Strip to harm IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.

One of the terrorists attempted to steal IDF equipment and then fled. Immediately after identification, the Air Force eliminated the terrorist under the direction of the brigade’s fire control center, west of the demarcation line, in order to remove the threat. In two additional incidents in the northern Gaza Strip, forces from the Northern Brigade Combat Team and the Jerusalem Brigade (16) Combat Team identified a number of terrorists who crossed the demarcation line and approached them in a manner that constituted an immediate threat. Immediately after identification, the forces eliminated two terrorists in order to remove the threat. IDF forces under the command of the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

Initial report: A report was received of an attempted ramming attack on a force in the Harat al-Sheikh area of the Judea Brigade. Details are under investigation.

At this stage, no clear findings have been found that this was an intentional attack; the incident is still under investigation.

The combatant was evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and his family was updated. IDF forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist.

Jerusalem, 11 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced a $3.1 billion contract with Israel’s ministry of Defense to expand Germany’s procurement of the Arrow 3 air missile defense system. The agreement follows a December 17, 2025, announcement by Germany’s Ministry of Defense and is part of a total deal valued at over $6.5 billion—the largest defense export in Israel’s history.

IAI CEO Boaz Levy said the contract reflects “a deep vote of confidence in Israeli technology and the strategic partnership between our two countries” and will strengthen Germany’s missile defense capabilities. The Arrow 3 system was developed by IAI in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
