Suspected Border Infiltration in Southern Israel Dismissed

IDF forces deployed near Moshav Paran after identifying suspicious movement but ruled out border infiltration, confirming no security incident.

Jerusalem, 27 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said that earlier this evening (Tuesday), it identified about ten suspects who approached the country’s territory in suspicious and rapid movement, near Moshav Paran, located 100 KM north of Eilat.

Numerous IDF forces, including special units and Air Force aircraft, were deployed to the area and searched the area in order to locate the suspects.

After extensive searches and blocking roads in the area, infiltration into Israeli territory was ruled out and the IDF said there is no fear of a security incident.
