Jerusalem, 3 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that a squad of three Israeli smugglers was arrested yesterday (Monday) near Israel’s western border after they were identified by IDF surveillance. The arrests came as art of a joint operation by forces from the IDF’s 80th “Edom” Division (Southern Command), the Air Force, Southern Border Police and the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service).

At the end of the chase, the three suspects were arrested along with the SUVs and drone equipment they were using.

The IDF did not say what items were being smuggled.
