Priestly Blessing limited due to security, Western Wall closed
Western Wall closed & Priestly Blessing limited due to security operations and Home Front Command directives for Passover holiday.
The traditional Priestly Blessing ceremony will be held with a limited quorum and broadcast live. In light of Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’ and the security situation, as well as the Home Front Command’s directives, public access will not be permitted during the holiday. This decision comes at a time when hundreds of thousands of visitors and worshippers flock to Jerusalem and the Western Wall each year during the holiday, in memory of the pilgrimage and out of deep longing for the holy site. However, this year, due to security circumstances, the public is required to act responsibly and adhere to the directives of the security forces. * Throughout all days of the Passover holiday, public access to the Western Wall will not be permitted at all. * Jaffa Gate and Dung Gate will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. * No public transportation lines will operate to the Western Wall.
