One Confirmed Killed in Rocket Strike on Border Community

A rocket strike on Kibbutz Misgav Am, a border community near Lebanon, has resulted in one fatality and the destruction of two vehicles.

Jerusalem, 22 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Fire and rescue teams from the Galil-Golan station are working at the scene of a direct rocket hit in Kibbutz Misgav Am, located on the border with Lebanon, where two vehicles completely burned as a result of the strike. First responders found one man in one of the vehicles and Magen David Adom confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon the teams’ arrival at the scene, two vehicles were identified as completely burned.

Firefighters carried out intensive firefighting operations and at the same time rescued a victim from the scene. The teams are continuing to scan the scene to rule out the presence of additional trapped people.

Northern District Commander, Yair Elkayim, is at the scene: “This is a difficult scene of two vehicles burning as a result of a direct hit. Firefighters located a trapped person and worked to rescue him. We will continue to operate in any event and at any time required.”
