Jerusalem, 23 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said that soldiers from its Givati Infantry Brigade captured armed terrorists from Hezbollah’s Radwan Force Unit, which is responsible for attacks on Israel, in Southern Lebanon
The captures came during an operation by the Brigade’s forces to locate weapons in the area, when they forces identified several armed Radwan Force terrorists who were planning to fire an anti-tank missile at them. Additionally, the terrorists had established an anti-tank position and planned to advance firing layouts toward northern Israeli communities.
After the terrorists surrendered the IDF troops located numerous weapons and combat equipment. During the night, the forces destroyed the structure from which the terrorists were operating.
From an initial investigation, said the IDF, it emerged that the terrorists arrived from the Bekaa Valley to southern Lebanon at the beginning of Operation “Roaring Lion” against Iran. This is contrary to the claims of the Lebanese Army regarding achieving operational control south of the Litani River.
“This case proves once again that the Lebanese Army has failed and did not prevent the crossing of terrorists and combat equipment south of the Litani,” said the IDF.
