Jerusalem, 1 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces arrested a 41-year-old Palestinian man wearing an Israeli military uniform after pulling over his vehicle near the village of Silwad for driving without license plates, the Israel Police said on Sunday.
A check revealed that the vehicle had been stolen.
Police said the suspect is the brother of Tahar Hamed, who killed 11 Israelis in a 2002 shooting attack at a traffic junction north of Jerusalem.
