Hamas Terror Leader Who Posed as a Journalist Eliminated in Gaza
The IDF eliminated Hamas terror leader Muhammad Samir Muhammad Shah, who posed as an Al-Jazeera journalist and was involved in weapons production in Gaza.
Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said it attacked and killed yesterday (Wednesday) Muhammad Samir Muhammad Shah, who it described as a key terrorist in the Hamas terrorist organization’s rocket and weapons production headquarters, who planned to carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces operating in the central Gaza Strip.
Throughout the war, Shah worked to produce drones, rockets, and weapons, and was involved in the transfer of weapons in the Gaza Strip.
As previously revealed by an IDF spokesman, Shah operated under the cover of an Al-Jazeera journalist and exploited this identity to promote terrorist acts against IDF forces and the State of Israel.
He contributed to the building of the Hamas terrorist organization’s strength, worked to carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces, and posed a real threat to the forces.
Prior to the attack, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial observations, and additional intelligence information.
