Shooting towards the Galilee – A cluster bomb was fired at the city of Kiryat Shmona. Further to the report of several impact sites in the Galilee, and after an examination conducted by police sappers at the scene, it emerges that the shooting at the city of Kiryat Shmona involved the use of a cluster bomb which hit the heart of a residential neighborhood and from which additional dangerous bomblets could be dispersed to the public. Police forces, including officers from the Northern District, Border Police fighters, and sappers, continue operational activity at the scene, conducting searches and securing the area until the danger is fully removed. We reiterate that one should avoid approaching impact areas, not to approach or touch suspicious items, and to obey the instructions of the security and rescue forces operating at the scene.
