‘Running the Wheel Again’ Clean Energy Education Program Concludes

Israel's "Running the Wheel Again" program, a national initiative for students, concluded its annual event showcasing innovative clean energy and smart.

Jerusalem, 22 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, the Ministry of Education, and the Green Network held the final event of the “Running the Wheel Again” program this week – a national educational initiative that trains the future generation of the world of smart and sustainable transportation.

The program, which has been operating for over a decade, provides students in grades 9-10 with practical knowledge and tools in the fields of smart transportation, clean energy, advanced technologies, and environmental thinking. This year, dozens of groups from all over the country participated in the program, which developed and presented innovative ventures to address the mobility, energy, and sustainability challenges of tomorrow.

The national final event took place on February 16, 2026 at the Plantania complex, and was the culmination of an in-depth annual learning process that included workshops, meetings with experts and expertise, technological experiences, and work on applied projects.

Breakthrough student projects
The projects were evaluated according to indicators of innovation, community relevance, applied feasibility, and contribution to reducing the use of polluting fuels. Among the notable projects presented this year:

A vehicle that generates energy independently
Green train based on green hydrogen
An app to encourage shared transportation travel
ECO-DASH system for managing and optimizing energy consumption
Community solutions for smart mobility and congestion reduction
