Teva Israel Ltd. recalls Nutrilon Stage 1 (800g, Batch 2027.01.07) due to a toxin exceeding new European thresholds, a precautionary measure for infants.
Following a global recall notice regarding the presence of a toxin in a fatty acid used as an ingredient in infant formula, Nutricia, the manufacturer of Nutrilon, announced a precautionary recall of a single batch.
It should be noted that the recall follows an updated definition in Europe of exposure levels and threshold values for the toxin cereulide, which is produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus.
