Operation for Packaging Unfit Illegal Eggs Raided in Jerusalem
Jerusalem authorities uncovered an illegal egg packaging business in eastern Jerusalem, confiscating unfit eggs, fake seals, and seized over 100,000 shekels in.
Jerusalem, 5 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In a joint operation led by the Jerusalem District Police and the Central Enforcement and Investigations Unit (CIU) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in eastern Jerusalem, a fake egg packaging business was located that contained a large quantity of illegal and unfit eggs and a large amount of equipment. In addition, an illegal resident was found at the location.
During the operation, the forces located a business that packaged fake eggs, where egg molds with fake seals and labels from various marketers were found, ready for sale to the public. In addition, packaging materials, a packaging machine, forklifts, transport carts, as well as documents suspected of being fake, were seized. The value of the equipment and machines confiscated during the operation was over 100,000 Shekels ($32,000).
